Subscribed podcasts not downloading windows 10
Looked everywhere for an answer and happened to stumble across this little nugget of info and what do you know it fixed my problem. Maybe someone from Apple needs to look at this and fix the bug. Thank you! I encountered this problem out of the blue for the first time ever today in iTunes ITunes used to be so intuitive and reliable. Not sure what has happened. Would never have figured this out. Just happened this morning, and I had not downloaded an update.
And I agree, the language seems bass-ackward. Thank you so much for solving this. Thanks again. Never had this problem before. Thanks, Dude!!!! I have lost days of my life over this! Thank you so much for an easy to follow solution…Yay!.
Restarting an iPhone is a common troubleshooting method that can help resolve temporary glitches with your iPhone in general. Then, swipe to the right to turn the device off. Press and hold down the Side button again to restart it. If your iPhone uses Touch ID, just hold down the Side button only and swipe to the right to power down the device. If you experience issues with automatic episode downloads, in particular, you must confirm that the Podcasts app's download preferences are set up properly.
Start by opening the Settings app. Then, tap Podcasts and scroll down to the section labeled Episode Downloads. Tap Refresh Every and set an appropriate auto-download time frame.
You can also manage the auto-download preferences for each subscribed show. Select a show from the Podcasts app's Library section, tap the three-dot icon to the top of the screen, tap Settings, and tap Download Episodes. Then, tweak the settings to your liking. Usually, setting OpenDNS — which is an extremely popular DNS service — can help resolve connectivity issues that prevent the Podcasts app from working properly.
Then, enter the following DNS servers into the slots below and tap Save. Sort Order: Choose the order in which episodes are sorted. Create a podcast station You can also create podcast stations with the podcasts you subscribe to—for example, you might want to group all podcasts about personal finance into a station. Click Stations in the sidebar on the left.
Click New at the bottom of the iTunes window, then type a name for the station. Do one of the following: Add podcasts to the station: Click the All Episodes button next to the podcasts you want to include, so a checkmark appears next to them.
Play Order: Choose what order the episodes in the station play in. Include: Choose how many episodes to include in the station. Media Type: Choose whether to include audio podcasts, video podcasts, or both. Group by Podcast: Select to organize the station by podcasts. Your settings apply to all podcasts included in the station.
Click Done. Also have this problem, it is frustrating. I've found several people mention this, but no solutions. Anything we can do to fix this? I tried calling Apple support late last night. I was on hold and then told due to high call volume I should leave my name and number. Then I had silence and a dial tone. Mar 26, AM. I used the e-mail route to report this problem to Apple support yesterday and received back a form e-mail saying that I would receive a reply from them within 48 hours. I hope that everyone who is experiencing the inability to download podcasts will contact support via phone or e-mail so that they realize that it's a serious problem which needs to be fixed right away and can't be ignored.
Mar 26, AM in response to dizzy7 In response to dizzy7. Hi, Can you please tell me how to contact Apple Support by email? I can't find an email option. They seem to want me to call now or later, I would rather email.
Thank you. I clicked on the "contact support" button at the top right of the page, selected "iTunes", then "iTunes Store" and described the problem as "I can't download podcasts since I undated to v. Not sure why it didn't work that way for you. For general knowledge, I have been on chat twice with tech support on this. They have not been able to solve it. They had me gather some info and send it to Apple engineers, who are supposed to get back with me within a couple of business days.
